Facebook still has a legitimate use of staying connected with family that doesn't live near you, its really a shame that Zuck decided that he could decide what we get to see
You know what else lets you stay connected to people that don't live near you? Anyone? Anyone? It's as if your generation believes we were living in caves cut off and isolated from the whole world before Cuckbook liberated us and brought us into the light.
My dad is a based boomer, but loves Facebook. I guess it is pretty cool to see how people are doing that you haven’t seen since high school. Especially at that age when people have actually done cool stuff with their lives. If you’re in your 20’s though it is boring as hell.
Look, I don't like the platform any more than anyone else here. But if some pedes are using it to see photos of their grandchildren and stay connected with distant relatives, I'm not getting up on the high horse of "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!"
I've heard so many horror stories of family and friends getting into relationship ending fights and losing jobs due to posting perceived offensive messages on Facecrook, doesn't really seem worth the time or effort. People live their entire lives out loud on that shit and it strikes me as pretty damn stupid.
Only thing it seems good for is family living far distances away to stay in contact and that is all. At work, other employees love trolling and turning in each other for the most minor perceived indiscretions. With friends like that, who needs enemies.
Pick up the phone... you'll get much more meaningful interaction.
Social media was a good way to connect with people, but its so controlled now its not even worth the hassle. Many others see it this way too... Thats probably why Facebook has started advertising for the first time since its inception, probably not by choice.
If you just use it for keeping in touch with people then nothing will be controlled. Unfriend anyone who tries to make political statements on there because that shit is annoying as hell.
I had issues with Facebook before i even got political. The second the timeline was no longer chronological i knew it was fucked. Telling me so-and-so's post is more important than my families (or mine) and ramming their bullshit down my throat. Not people i disagree with, just people that are more active on social media than i was... i found myself deleting and blocking people just so my page wasnt full of the same old popular bullshit and my cousin who had 3 friends and posts once a year would even show up.
Same thing with reddit... however, blocking all the anti trump subs and other bullshit subs didnt work because every day there was a new one that was inorganically being pushed to the front page. It was either hand pick your subs and only those subs and potentially miss something interesting or be bludgeoned to death by progressive rhetoric.
Give me a very large break. What are you, a scolding, finger-wagging schoolmarm?
In the interest of transparency, I have NEVER had a FakeBook account because I don't respond well to control freaks deciding what I communicate. That would include YOU dictating to people which social media platform, YOU think they should use. (Excuse me while I laugh my ass off.)
I DO, however, frequently access groups for information and news accounts which I then share elsewhere, even here. The fact that I'm not allowed to read comments without an account, which I don't intend to have, doesn't bother me a bit.
But rest assured, if I WANTED to join FB, I would.
Since when is a land line held in the same regard as smoke signals? I've never seen so many people get their panties in a bunch. You guys are starting to resemble reddit now the way you are acting.
When my daughter moved away to college we set up a family Discord server. All of the kids and I use it as a chat program daily. Since we're gamers, Discord is usually open in the background of our pcs anyway.

Oh, look at Mr. Moneybags over here.
I bet he's a huge Diablo fan.
“We all have phones right?!”
I read that “I bet he’s a huge dildo fan”

The only people I know that still use Facebook religiously are the boomers.
And people with lots of cats

A letter!
Not an excuse. There a myriad of other ways to communicate with distant family.
Not if they're all using Facebook.

And you shouldn't either.
I’m off Facebook and this post just reminded me I need to send some pictures of my kids to their grandparents

You can get them to transition to a company that isn't run by Mark Zuckerberg..
That all their friends and family are on?
I think I just told him that lol!

If you really want to connect with family, video chat apps are good too. There are tons of them that aren't owned by the major cucked companies

Discord searches chat logs for racist white people bye. They're another woke company.
Get them to move to a different social network.
