Please don't ruin my home state with the liberal values that destroyed your home. Thanks!

FL, TX, or if you don't mind some cold weather the mid-west has some great opportunities.

I will probably move back to TX when this gig wraps up. I like Florida a lot, but Texas is just an amazing state with a unique culture I love.

I grew up in a small town in Texas. I expected the worst as I started working in different areas of the country. I found the urban/country split to be much more indicative of culture than geographic diversity. The burbs tended to identify differently, but rural people are gold every where I went and city folk were hard core and arrogant. Usually without reason.

There was a slight difference in how long it takes to fit in. In the South, you're a friend until you prove otherwise. In the north, you have to prove yourself first.

This mirrors my experiences. I moved to a relatively rural area of Texas and was floored at how welcoming everyone was. Was getting invites to go hunting and come over for Barbeques non-stop.
