The statue of liberty is greatly misunderstood. The USA was founded as a nation of settlers, not immigrants. Immigrants don't normally build nations; they move to countries for a specific reason. Settlers built the foundations, structures, concepts, and cultures that societies work on. That is why the USA is a western civilization built by Anglos mainly and other cultures contributed. It is also the same for Canada, Argentina etc.
