As a Christian, knowing Jesus would have had to been born between 6 and 4 BC, I don't object to it on religious grounds. I object to it because it just took a simple thing we have been using for over a thousand years and made it needlessly complicated. Not only do people now use BC, AD, BCE and CE, but I have seen people use their own made up retarded name for something that should only have one name.
