Sadly the communists won in China. They literally expelled the legitimate government to a tiny island, then they killed tens of millions of their own people and still somehow convinced the entire world to recognize them as the legitimate government.
Then not only that, even after that same communist government convinced everyone to call them the real Chinese government, they murdered 10,000 dissidents in a single act, and the entire world knew about it and DIDN'T DO SHIT. So they were like cool, we can do whatever we want.
Then just a few years after that they went to Britain and were like "Hey you know you signed that lease agreement for Hong Kong with that other government, I mean with us, you signed it with us, well the lease is over so you have to give it back to China, I mean us, we are china lol why am I so confused. Give us hong kong" Then Britain said "Hey were you the ones who just murdered 10,000 people like a communist dictator?" And then the communists said "No" and then Britain said "Nah pretty sure you did, I have evidence here, so knowing that....I here is Hong Kong, please enjoy it and treat them well!" and the communists said "Thanks! We promise to let them have total freedom and autonomy for 50 years!"
Then not even half that time passed and the communists were like "LOL 50 years is a long time, agreements don't mean shit to us. All hong kong are belong to us now" and then the world said "Eh, do what you gotta do" and they said "LOL now were gonna imprison dissidents enmasse and ship them back to China and convict them at a 99% rate and kill them enmasse using "legal authority" and no one in the media will report it pretending like its not actually currently happening, and nothing will happen because we get away with everything because nobody gives a shit hahahaha"

The way the world has just let the CCP continue to escalate situations and do more and more horrible things really reeks of the way the world handled the rising power of Nazi Germany leading up to WWII. That's probably the number one reason why I definitely feel we're in a war currently, and the conflict may get physical sooner than people expect.

The Nazi's got away with a lot of shit for a long time, but they made the mistake of having open warfare. It forced the world to realize their appeasement strategy was not working, and the world was forced to REACT.
But China has been for 70+ years (far longer than the Nazis) getting away with EVERYTHING because they haven't openly participated in what could be seen as textbook warfare. That is why I don't think they will ever invade Taiwan, as much as some people might think. That is also why I don't think they will even escalate the India situation beyond what is currently happening. They don't want to be seen as the instigators, and they are banking on the fact that the world is also too afraid to make the move first as well.
So they subvert slowly. Just like the communists did with the American Education system. The same exact method. That's how they did it in Hong Kong, they get CCP friendly people in place, slowly, over time, and at first its unnoticed, but once they get enough, they can start making noise and dictating CCP friendly policies, but at that point its too late. They already have seized control.
The CCP absolutely wants to invade Taiwan, there is no mistake there. The thing to note is that they will only do so once they are absolutely certain they cannot be stopped. Until that point, they will continue to subvert, corrupt and destroy our institutions; once they have our governments fully under their control, they'll strike.
That is exactly what I mean. They will never invade Taiwan in the sense of a newspaper headline reads "China Invades Taiwan!". But they want to and will eventually occupy Taiwan once they have enough subversion in place.
Just like Hong Kong. They never technically invaded Hong Kong outright, they subverted them over years, until they simply seized control. And now, with the CCP friendly government/policies/and physical infrastructure in place (bridges, tunnels, roads, etc.), they have effectively invaded them without the actual invasion being seen or happening all at once. They have simply absorbed them. The invasion of Taiwan would be the same.
I am certain that there will be war based on the simple fact that there is no reconciliation between the marxists and everyone else. I would compare it to speaking two different languages, but a mere language gap would be far easier to bridge than what divides us.
And this time I don't think there will ever be the resolve to stop China unlike the world eventually stopping Germany back then. Yes, the west still has a technological superiority in weaponry, but that stuff is expensive and eventually the world is going to realize it's all paid for with funny money that's only backed by the military that is financed by said funny money.
I understand it's just an informal conversation and not a research paper or official debate, but I just spent a good 15 minutes trying to find literally anything on this and have come up empty. I can't even find anything from the opposition to this theory disputing it. Do you have any sources you can provide?
