I think a lot of people are just keeping their head down and focusing on Nov, raising too much of a ruckus that could turn into something that could be used against us before an election is something to avoid.

And secondly, the media reports on what it wants. If it shows everyone complying, then you will feel alone and separated and more likely to give in.
