That's not news. Christianity can be at least anecdotally dated in the subcontinent to the first Century A.D. The Portuguese found Christians in Goa who claim that their community was founded by St. Thomas the Apostle.
Uhm, Christianity (specifically nestorian christians) and Judaism were there before Islam. Mohammed just blatantly copied and combined the two "religions" in his area. (the official story is that he had "visions" about it in a cave, rofl)
