When you’re told that you’re racist for expecting the same behavior this young American displays from everyone, just imagine what the core beliefs and morals of that opposition are. What used to be considered normal for every parent is now considered brilliant, amazing and fabulous.
I wish it could be considered normal, but it never really was except through rose tinted glasses.
I worked with kids for several years in church, and I got to see a wide variety of kids and a wide variety of parents. Most parents are... not this good. Not nearly as bad as the worst, but often lacking.
This is what we saw on The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver and set our expectations, but it is not really the norm.
Good on this dad for parenting well in public and setting an example. He sees a cultural segment in need of hearing his message, and he speaks to them. He is a great example to prove both ghetto culture and anti-black racists wrong.

Sinbad has an old bit about parenting in the 70s that's awesome.
We saw Sinbad host an event in Los Angeles in January. It was a private concert and he was the one hosting. He was hilarious and seemed to be making much more fun of liberals than anyone else. At one point, he even said something about, "I don't care what you think of him, you know you are making more money because of the President." He was great (at least at that event). ...and it was an event for the music industry! Typically a very liberal crowd.
That man loves his child. Well done, sir.
