Walking around Blowing Rock, NC. Everyone has masks on inside, outside, constantly starred down for not wearing a mask. The social stigma of not wearing a mask has got to end. They are the sheep. Not me.

I fucking hate it. I feel like a prisoner . Stuck in a blue state. I wish to reclaim my summer
You are a prisoner.
I hate it too, I’m in Australia so I have to wear one every time I leave the house. I just can’t do it so I haven’t left the house in weeks. It almost brings me to tears thinking about it, it’s like being forced to wear a burka. I just can’t bear it and I have no idea how long it will remain mandatory.
Amazing Polly says it fits the international criteria for HUMAN TORTURE
(and she's correct)
Don't worry, that's coming also
That's exactly what it is too. They are Sharia masks. Radical Islamic terrorists control our government.
we're literally going to need something at least semi violent or at least the threat of it before mask culture goes away. It's just too damn ingrained in people now, you need something to scare it out of them
I have been watching the live cams in Sturgis all week. The few people who wear masks look like Antifa spies compared to everyone else.
I am with you, OP
you inspired me to write this, just now

My mask is yellowing and stained and disgusting, just because to show how stupid it is.
I hate not seeing people smile and laughing. Looks like a fucking muslim country. Feel like i'm in the UK surrounded by people that don't value their god given rights. They just surrender them to the local mayor and governor and stink eye anyone that isn't towing the leftist cult line.
This is a good time to train yourself to look at people's hands and not their faces. We are naturally drawn to looking at faces, but the threat comes from the hands. Self-defense classes stress that to be situationally aware we should first be cognizant of the hands of people approaching us. Hard to force yourself to do, but now is a good time to practice this.
Starbelly sneetches blowing whichever way the sales team configured their machine today.
And those ignoring whatever they're selling teaching the kids to stay away from salesmen with big machines and emotion laden messages.
Started school on Tuesday - only 4 days in and both teachers and students are exhausted. So hard to teach while I am wearing a mask all day long, and it is just as tough on students. We're in Florida and it is HOT, so we are all getting dehydrated during the day (you can't drink in the classroom because you would have to take your mask off). We are allowed to give every class a mask break, and I am making students bring their water bottles outside during the break. On day one the students were asking how long we have to do this, and I didn't have the heart to tell them it may last quite a while. Ugh.
Exactly why we are doing virtual school...this flu doesnt scare me but i wont subject my 8 and 10 year olds to masks
It does make for a hard day. They were happy to see their friends again, and when we are outside for breaks and lunch (we eat outside in covered areas) they are relaxed, and it almost seems normal. But wearing the masks all day inside makes the day (and the week) seem SO long. We are allowing students to attend virtually, so I am teaching both my live class and my virtual class at the same time, plus teachers have to clean all desks and chairs between every class. I imagine we are going to have several teachers quit before the year is done.
Cant imagine going through all that...I work in a hospital here in Central Florida and its the same way...12+ hours wearing masks is just not healthy for the human body
So true - I feel that! There is no time to use the restroom between classes now because we are cleaning. I had to eat lunch in 15 minutes walking around my class eating while cleaning and setting up for the next class (that's clearly not sanitary). Nurses / health workers and teachers have much in common, I know they are on their feet all day and get few breaks. People will put up with a lot, but not being able to physically do what you need to during the day may be the last straw for many... : /
It's not going away. The masks are just the start. They will constantly make our society worse and worse. This is a Socialist revolution and 99% of our government is in on it.
I don't agree. It only works if we let it work. Take the mask off.
It's called Civil Disobedience, and it's our duty.
Remember Thoreau:
Mr. Emerson, like Socrates, prefers to obey bad laws, under protest, rather than to defy his government. His friend Henry Thoreau, another of the Concord philosophers, believed that it was his duty to disobey bad laws, and so in the days of slavery he refused to pay his tax, and was sent to jail. Emerson, who had paid his taxes under protest, called at the jail, and, seeing Thoreau, said,
“How does it happen, Mr. Thoreau, that I find you here?”
Thoreau, a little petulant, because Emerson had taken the easier way of squaring his conduct with his conscience, replied, “How does it happen, Mr. Emerson, the I don’t find you here?”
I was at a Buc-Ees in Madisonville, TX yesterday, and even though you dont have to wear a mask to get in, I would say 95% of the people inside had on masks and gave me dirty looks for not having one on
If 95% of people are wearing in Madisonville, TX(definitely not a left wing bastion) then we are screwed
Problem is a lot of us non maskers are busy with jobs...we cant protest every day for 3 months
Boonie here. Take that mask off, and stare right back into their eyes and smile. I do it every day. The more of us they see staring right back at them, the shorter this lasts.
Yeah ive been starting to do that more. If i see someone else with a mask off in a store ill take mine off.
Show them you are the wolf. I like to actually bark at people who try to give me the evil eye. Just bark super loud and maintain eye contact. They will eventually back off.
I just stare back. It doesn't bother me at all. In fact it makes me feel comfortable knowing they won't do anything about it. They are the pussies.
Hang in there Pede. This too shall pass.
