wife got multiple bids and took the lowest. it was ridiculously low. now there a bunch of guys out there speaking some language I don't unnerstand. time to call ICE?
This. I’ve made a conscious effort to avoid any company that clearly employs illegals. It’s worth it to me to pay more, because I know they’re insured/bonded and I know I’m not helping support illegals.
I'm not a fan of illegal immigration, but it seems kinda messed up to call ICE on someone you hired to do a job. Even if your wife hired them without your consent, she did so in your name. I wouldn't advise it.
I would not, esp. if they are doing a good job. But then I have a soft spot for people who work hard. If they start acting sketchy, have a follow up convo with the person who gave you the bid when the job is done.
Dont worry, you will get what you pay for. Cheap labor and the cheapest paint on the market. You will get a chance to hire a real painting contractor next year when the paint falls off. Good luck
Always take the middle bid
Call ICE right as they’re finishing and before you have to pay them.

Your wife needs to do background checks.
Wait until they are just about finished, then rat them out. Then act like you know nothing about it

Ask them if they have ever tried climbing 30ft tall steel bollard fencing.
