Minneapolis metro area is a shithole, yes. Everywhere else is based. Where I live, they actually had a vote on bringing in Somalian refugees and said not only no, but FUCK NO.
It was 45k votes but Gary Johnson got over 112k votes in the state of Minnesota. Unless assloads of people who voted libertarian are willing to vote for Biden (and Harris??), MN appears to be a state that should actually be favored for Trump based on 2016.
Not a MN pede, but I am an Ohio pede. I felt the Johnson in 2016, because I didn't think Trump would keep any of his promises. I only saw a near-lifelong New York Demonrat. After seeing how GEOTUS has behaved as President, I consider it the greatest mistake of my life (and I have made some HUGE mistakes in my life, may God forgive me). Trump has EARNED my vote this year. I pray all of the previous Johnson voters in MN are like me and are now 100% on the Trump Train. TRUMP 2020!
I am not either but I have family there and am up there quite a bit so I get to hear what’s going on up that way fairly regularly. It seems to be a very strange political mix outside the twin cities. You have staunch union dem voters that are legit racists and sexists but have very conservative values that will ONLY ever vote dem due to the unions and many of the conservatives have a hardcore libertarian streak. But...they are really hopeful, and think there is a really good shot for trump to flip it and that the Johnson votes prove it.
Considering how much of a long shot MN has always been I think it’s encouraging we could have a major pick up this year.
And then there are those of us who voted for Thomas Jefferson, etc. MN has never been 'in play' in my life, so I've never bothered voting for a republican presidential candidate as a lesser of two evils.
MN is in play. Many people who did not vote Trump are going that way now. Many other Dems have no use for Biden and expect to vote 3rd party as protest; something that should be encouraged among those who encounter Trump haters. I am seeing Trump signs going up in yards that have never had political signs before.
Minnesota? You mean New Somalia? The optimism is appreciable, but I have my doubts.
Trump lost MN by like 4k votes in 2016.

People forget that Trump was seen by normies as a "joke candidate" in 2016...I was on TD in 2016 and even I thought he had almost no chance.
Now it's dead serious and people know what is up. Landslide 2020 or we go to war, boyos!
