I don't really know anything about Taylor Swift, other than the fact that she is a musician, she is pretty, and she is part of the crowd of modern pop singers whose music I avoid like the plague. Therefore, I can't disagree with the things being said about her here.
However, I did see Cats, and, to be fair, Taylor is not the one who ruined it. The scenes that worked were the music and dancing scenes involving her, Francesca Hayward, Jennifer Hudson, and a few others.
The "actors" who totally stunk up the movie were Rebel Wilson and James Corden. If their scenes were totally removed, and the "we need to tell a story" scenes with Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, and Idris Elba were reduced, there might just be a watchable movie (musical) there.
I knew I was walking into a minefield, saying good things about a movie that people hated so much. But, I stand by what I said. Some of the musical parts are good (the music is just tolerable, but the sets, choreography, and dancing are very good).
I would never know that, however, if I had tried to watch the movie in a theater, because the bad parts are long and horrible, and would make it impossible to enjoy the good parts. But, if you watch it on DVD, with liberal use of the fast-forward button, you can see what the movie could have been, if the people who decided the final cuts had any brains.
he was right and she got in Cats and it was a total disaster

“I did see Cats...”
...why?
No, that entire movie is shit. From beginning to end. Pure shit.
LOL. Three haters -- I actually expected more.
