You sure 'bout that? Steam is very VERY heavy into Linux support. Look for the steam badge next to the windows and apple/mac badge. That's Linux.
Steam also provides a wine fork they call 'Proton' which has been tested with their top selling AAA Windows games. My entire Steam library will run linux-native and a few titles I'm interested in (at the moment) which are Windows-only have top proton compatibility ratings.

I'll check it out later. If stuff fails (i.e., install packages failing), it means sticking with Win-does-it-all for gaming.
