Because we don't want to sound as insane as them? Defund the police is an election losing issue, we don't want to respond to something that sounds equally insane

I disagree. The leftists genuinely feel that there is a moral imperative to defund the police. The comparison needs to be made. Especially when it's a matter of kids being abused and how much more frequently it happens than excessive uses of force by LEOs
