Why was George Floyd's death national news?

Why was Ahmad Arburrey's death national news?

Why was Michael Brown's death national news?

Why was Trayvon Martin's death national news?

For Scott Adams, white lives don't matter.

This is what the right will get when it let's leftist fake intellectuals be their spokespersons. The right needs people on the right to speak for it. Not grifters from the left.

Scott's whole point is that none of these should have been national news. And if you agree with that, then it's a matter of consistency that this one kid shouldn't be, either.

I'm not saying I agree with him, I'm conflicted on the matter. But people piling on him for this are misunderstanding what he's saying.

CJBarnacle 16 points ago +17 / -1

Yet he only decided to tweet this about Cannon.

Tintenfass 11 points ago +12 / -1

But people piling on him for this are misunderstanding what he's saying.

Then Scott Adams should have expressed his thought more clearly if so many are misunderstanding him.

Or perhaps he meant exactly what he said and nothing more.

Classic Liberals for ya...

This boy's murder is much more unusual and compelling than any of those, even ignoring the race angle.

Yucky 1 point ago +1 / -0

I see your point. He was highlighting that neither should be national news, but because of what "news" has become, they are, but for different reasons.

And why was a nascar driver finding a piece of string in his garage national news?

Adams, Tim Pool, Elon Musk, Kanye West and a few others are on the list of people that fall into that category for me.

AtariArtist 14 points ago +14 / -0

Elon Musk - unlike wanna be rocket man Jeff Bezos - is smart enough to know not to bite the hand that provides launch contracts.

Plus his family fled a country falling to Marxists. I give him a lot more cred than the others on your 'list'.

3
nmipede 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sure, but not enough for me yet. Elon, like Tim, doesn't want to lose the money. That seems to be more important than anything for either of them.

AtariArtist 2 points ago +2 / -0

Musk is all about Mars - not money. He's downsizing his personal holdings right now since he's moving shop to be closer to his space ops in Tx. He's even said he's probably going to rent for mobility for co-locating with LA and TX (ya - a billionaire beholden to a landlord - think about that). Even Tesla's newest ge-gaw, the Cybertruck, is Mars-capable (there's a reason he picked the same steel he's using on Starship - one that's so freaking strong it can only be folded, not stamped).

He's probably the most interesting African American right now.

Yes. We already have our own long standing thinkers, analysts and policy advocates. Yet we spend most of our time listening to liberals who have recently warmed to us. While I open newcomers with open arms, we need conservatives to speak for conservatives.

He does that sometimes. He also course corrects. He's an interesting example of 'thinking out loud' too much. He did the same thing with the Covington Kids and the statue removal (he didn't recognize it as a US version of Mao's 'Cultural Revolution' shit - and bought into Antifa gaslighting).

It's also typical of someone missing the bigger picture but looking at a single blade of grass, let alone a single tree, in a freaking rain forest (it's easy to do).

If he doesn't mull it over more and double-downs - then Houston, he's got a problem.

Bingo. He was too quick to type his initial thoughts and not think it through.

The individual crime I don't think matters either, the media cover-up of an individual crime on the other hand that's what you call accomplices and charges need to be filed, those accomplices turn it into a much bigger mess than an individual crime

eddedandedamame 4 points ago +4 / -0

Agreed.

JigglesV 11 points ago +11 / -0

I don’t disagree with Adams. I do not know the full extent of his position.

The reason for the focus on Hinnant is not that this one individual crime is worthy of national news. The reason is to highlight the bias of news outlets (it is time to stop calling them mainstream or major). These groups magnify and incessantly cover situations where a crime may have been committed and there is a racial component which can be exploited. This component tends to be of the white on black variety.

However these groups fail to match their intensity on black on white situations. No one is asking for every murder to be national news, people want consistency, transparency, and fairness, which are not core values of the media agenda. The real tragedy is that the lopsided intentions of media groups created a feedback loop which is the mechanism many believe created the environment which led to Hinnant’s horrific death.

Lastly, these people cowardly hide behind the first amendment whenever accountability is sought.

OhLollyLollyPop 1 point ago +1 / -0

While they might disregard this murder for their corporate racial reasons, the shear oddity of what happened in this tragedy should merit a good deal of interest. It's a very strange and unusual story.

Yankreeeedoodle 8 points ago +8 / -0

Wait a minute.....wasn’t that George Kirby Up in Minnesota an individual crime?

Hmmmmmm......what was the difference between these two individual crimes...

8
KuhlooKuhlay 8 points ago +8 / -0

no actual crime by anyone but george as far as I can tell

Why is he lying? YES THEY ARE. He can disagree that they should be, but the national AND international news outlets routinely pick and choose individual crime stories to print every day.

In fact, it's so normal and commonplace for individual crime stories to be on the national news, that the only reason you'd tweet this now is to INTENTIONALLY DOWNPLAY and dismiss the child's death. So the guy's either a liar or a cold-hearted bastard.

Slick_Willy 5 points ago +5 / -0

In a vacuum Scott's statement makes sense.

But in reality it makes no sense at all.

For a somewhat smart guy, he fucking fell on his face here hard.

Scott Adams being retarded as fuck, maybe drunk or trolling who knows.

Jutts 4 points ago +4 / -0

Dyslexic people shouldn't tweet. I don't understand what she's trying to say. I'm not dyslexic.

I have no idea why conservatives suck this guy's nuts. He has never had a good take.

3

He also said he had no doubt that Bill Gates has good intentions.

3
NeilNewsNetwork 3 points ago +3 / -0

so disgusted that Scott would write this

3
OhLollyLollyPop 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agree. By that logic, George Floyd should be less than significant, considering who he was.

And if he said the opposite (which is implied), he’d be banned...

1
MissileToad 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not particularly invested in Adams, but consider what he often analyzes and then think about what this tweet will get people angry and debating and talking about, especially that "this one is no different" part. Not sure, but consider that before totally throwing him under the bus.

1
rantbicker 1 point ago +1 / -0

Except every time a white does something to. Black we hear about it every second for the next year. Hell, a black man tried to kill multiple white people at a nearby Lowe’s last year with an axe calling them “devils”. His race didn’t make the news until his mugshot. If it was a white guy trying to axe a bunch of black people Civil War II would have started.
