“Stunning and brave”? Leftists really are a caricature of themselves. “Woke” is a terrible ideology.

My thoughts exactly

I honestly couldn't tell if that was sarcasm. Left is a parody of itself

Avatar: The Last Airbender creators exit live-action Netflix series due to creative differences.

Well that explains it.

Isn't that character supposed to be like, more Inuit native american, and less Ethiopian child trafficking victim?

They could have pulled some "Native peoples actors" or some shit, but I guess casino indians aren't an important voting block.

BilbroNaggins 2 points ago +2 / -0

Commie chy-na aka Californian politics.

ChicomUberAlles 2 points ago +2 / -0

Kyaahya hya. That would seed too much ground for tiny Chy-na. Chy-na is Thai-ne! Look to where they built their wall.

RIP Tibet. Honk Gong. Who next, Thaiwan?

OFC Tassi wrote this trash. Glad the creators of the animated series revolted and left the adaptation. I'm sticking with the animated series here, no garbage live action adaptation for me. Sill have nightmares from when Shamalan did his abomination of a movie adaptation.

LesboPregnancyScare 13 points ago +13 / -0

Stunning and brave. LOL. More like swan song.

Kaitlyn Bruce Jenner was also called stunning and brave.

Also i think Tess Holiday, the 400 lb monster who bucked beauty trends. No im kidding, she conformed to all female ideals of beauty from perfect hair, makeup, and clothing, and nails, she was too lazy to conform the the most important one.

Blacks are now Asians

4
Billionaired 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is why the creators left. Geezus.

4
BabyPede 4 points ago +4 / -0

Oh god. Another crap tier live action adaptation, the first movie was bad enough. When will they learn that people will enjoy it a lot more if they stick to the original type of thing. Don't try to politicize it and god forbid you screw up character appearance.

1
OhLollyLollyPop 1 point ago +1 / -0

They are just inventing new history.

3
Lu-Bu 3 points ago +9 / -6

Who cares. Boycott it and engage in manly pursuits like fixing things, smoking cigars, and reading books about war. Let these 30-something manchilden get a thrill up their leg about recast black anime characters.

6
plaaaa 6 points ago +6 / -0

I never watched it. The "humor" is that the characters are Asian.

So in 2009 they made a movie casting whites. This started trend of complaining about whitewashing.

10 years later...

They are making the cast Black to "show they are not racist" and still ignoring the actual consumers.

4
ChicomUberAlles 4 points ago +4 / -0

dovetails nicely with their dismissal of Asian discrimination at Yale. "he wanna help White folks"

What's stunning and brave about being woke in wokeville?

3
Crankyboy 3 points ago +3 / -0

ahhhh they are Asian bro. They could have gotten top talent from South Korea. They have a thriving TV show and movie industry.

3
GeneralBoobs 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ang is from the 70s, it takes place in modern NYC. He's a Black Panther Party member. Now, instead of the fire nation, they're on the run from the police because they knocked over a convenient store and shot the clerk.

ticl 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ang wuz a gud boi, he dindu nuffin

2
GrabLifeByThePussy 2 points ago +2 / -0

I remember people getting mad they cast a white girl in the MNK movie.

2
ExecuteOrdr66 2 points ago +2 / -0

Here’s another thought - stop remaking shit and come up with your own material - then you can make them whatever race you want

I love how liberal media always tells the reader/viewer what to think before the actual news. Literal NPCs.

Could never get into Avatar. I hate the look of fake anime.

6
HowdyModi 6 points ago +6 / -0

You are missing out!

1
ContraryCynic 1 point ago +1 / -0

That movie was a disaster, why do they think they're gonna get a better result with a fraction of the budget?

1

"stunning and brave" - stupid people, 2020.

This is the cunt that doxxed a bunch of random people for "racist tweets" and even fucked over an innocent kid's life and refused to correct herself

1
ColbyP 1 point ago +1 / -0

They know the live-action movie adaptation was already done and flopped HARD right? The show was great, but it doesn't tranfer from cartoon to real people well at all.

1
deplorabetty 1 point ago +1 / -0

Cringe

1
rossagesausage 1 point ago +1 / -0

LMAO "stunning and brave"

1
TheNatureOfBobo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Isn't that cultural appropriation?

Also lol forever at unironic use of "stunning and brave", oh yes it is sooooo brave to march in lockstep with the mandatory woke Hollywood goodthink.

1
daelon 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can't find this article, is it fake or did they take it down?

1
Pedeville 1 point ago +1 / -0

Arent the female last airbender brown tho? I've watched both the shows, and iirc the female airbender is brown and the male (Ang or whats his name) is white? Long time since I watched the cartoons so might be mistaken

1
taol 1 point ago +1 / -0

The story is Asian-based. There are darker skin Asian and lighter skin Asian The water tribe is darker skin so brown yeah if the brown means Inuit/pacific islanders. Ang (Air nomad) is obviously a Tibetan. Earth Kingdom is Mandarin/Qing. Fire Nation is Chinese (Some people say it is Japan but the clothes and buildings style look even more Chinese than Earth Kingdom)

1
Pedeville 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah it's the water nation I meant that was brown skinned, and the female Avatar is from water nation so having a brown woman play her isnt far fetched. The characters also dont look Asian at all (like all Asian cartoons) so wouldnt really make sense to have a Chinese person play her either

1
taol 1 point ago +1 / -0

It doesn't look like "Asian”( or all Asian cartoons) is because it does not based on "Far East Asian"- however It has strong Inuit/Pacific islander culture color, which still Asian as well.

Therefore I do agree the part it doesn't make sense for Chinese to play the role, since it clearly is not what it based on at all.(Except the bending move). For me it makes more sense if they find a Hawaiian actress for the water tribe girl (or Inuit if they can find one)

1
Pedeville 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, but its also probably made by Americans and stuff, and they dont put Inuits and other 'rare races' (idk what word to use) in lead roles, also the actors have to be decent. It would be weird if the actor was white tho

1
taol 1 point ago +1 / -0

There are plenty of Hawaiian actors/actresses. I mean, if Hawaii Five-O can find so many Hawaiian actors/actresses to play, no reason Netflix not able to find any.
