And appeal to authority and appeal to consensus. There are plenty of people, who'd assume the behaviors they witness on other people just so that they don't stand out.

If you put them in a room with 30 people all of whom share some behavior, they'd just imitate that behavior without any resistance. If everyone holds their hands up, so will these gullible people. If everyone jumps in order to move, so will they.

Remember the experiment where the test subject has the task to ask questions from another person and has to administer punishment via electroshocks if he fails? 60% of people escalated to the lethal dosage, and it was enough that one person with perceived position of authority said "please continue."

Isn't it interesting how such obedience leads to so many bad outcomes, yet every leftist narrative is one where the lack of obedience is said to be the source of all problems? Apparently the communists, Nazis and their victims obeyed a LOT and how did that turn out?
