Most stores are open. People are shopping; although not as busy as before of course, but I've been in many clothing stores, non-food stores; people are out. Most people in Manhattan when outside are wearing masks. I'd say more than 3/4 in my experience, which is mostly Union Square area/East/West Village/Lincoln Center area/Central Park. Myself, I don't wear it when outside unless going from place to place in a short distance. Also never had anyone say anything to me about not wearing one. Inside of course is a different story; I wear it.
NYC here. This is not NYC now, this was from early June during the riots.
So what does 5th ave look like now? Are those stores open? Are people shopping, wearing masks? I haven't really checked the status of NYC lately.
