Heck, Trump himself was a Democrat before he became a Republican, and it's not like any of his opinions have changed much over the years. Sadly, this country is doomed unless conservatives can push that pendulum back the other way. Trump will simply be an aberration; a temporary roadblock on the slow march leftwards. Because the next President after he's gone will have to be just a little bit more left in order to get elected, and the President after them just a little more, until eventually socialism IS implemented and our constitutional rights are suspended entirely (other than the right to fuck children, which will become enshrined in law).
