Well speaking from a statistics position, the chances are almost 0% that ALL of the military would move as one. I believe if shit really gets that bad, and Trump summons them up, MOST of the military will rally to POTUS.
ALL would be great, but that just isn’t reality. And that’s scary. Better left untested as you said.
Thats fine but if you've ever met someone who works in the Pentagon or graduated from Westpoint in the past decade, you'd be alarmed at how deeply the socialist rot has taken hold of the military.
If half of all the generals are unreliable, and more than half of the command staff and intelligence apparatus are openly hostile, then it doesn't matter if 95% of the active military and reserve are conservative if they won't be deployed or won't be pointed in the right direction.
This infection isnt just in the military. I read an article a while back about a Navy SEAL that wanted to join the DEA. They loved him and wanted him in their ranks so they gave him advice on how to pass the interviews: "Think like a democrat, give answers you think a democrat would give."
Where I work, it is about 90% democrat. There is a myth going around, and I dont know why people believe, that the dems will take care of federal employees better that repubs.

This does not match my experiences in the military.
I don't like generals, but it's not because I consider then socialist sympathizers. It's because I consider them politicians.
Not a military man myself, but I live in DC and interact with a lot of folks who work in the Pentagon.
I was expecting closet conservatives not braggart fifth columnists.
