By having only landed men vote, that ensures that only contributors to the economy get a say.
Those are the two critical principles of successful democracy, which is still worthwhile imo. What we have in the West now is just mob rule as you say.
The best, simplest and least discriminatory thing any democratic model could do right now is to restrict voting to those people who are Net Contributors to the national economy. We have the means now to quantify an individual's contribution and consumption. It's not gender based, it's not racist. It's not a very high bar. Just put in more than you take out and you'll get your vote.
This would be the first step to restoring sanity to government policy. The biggest improvement would come immediately with the removal of the majority of the insane voices from the gallery.
I mostly agree. I used to believe the melting pot bullshit. Now, even being only half white myself, I think the US is better off as an ethno state based on white and Christian values. And I think democracy is fine but that it shouldn't be one person one vote. The amount of votes you get should increase as you get older. It would. In my system, you get allocated one vote for each year you've been an adult of voting age in that voting district. So if you're 28 born and raised a US citizen, you get 10 votes in Federal elections. But if you only moved to that state 3 years ago, you only 3 in state elections. When senior citizens are dumping 30-50 more votes per voter than a stupid kid in college, we don't need millions of people to vote for bland, pandering do-nothing candidate. A small percentage of the population can have a massively disproportionate influence on elections.
When we pass from this mortal sphere into eternity does our vote count go to infinity? Asking for a recently deceased friend who now has to vote Democrat.
