I think he has a whole schedule of surprises for us.

I don't think Snowden deserves a pardon. He ought to have stayed in the United States instead of running to Russia.

If you do something, you have a responsibility to own up to it. I'm glad he decided to leak what he did -- the NSA collecting all that information seems like an overstep of government authority and when the government goes too far, it should be called out for everyone to see. But with him not sticking around, I see him as more a traitor than a hero.

Well that is just a dumb line of logic. You said that what the NSA was doing 'seems' like a governmental overstep? No, it was big time illegal and unconstitutional and he fled because our government has a history of disappearing people like Snowden. Or if they cannot disappear them, do everything they can to ruin you financially and socially.

You are not obligated to defend the very illegal things that people in our government do, like spy on everyone illegally. Wouldn't you agree that it is silly to think the government would have done anything less than destroy Snowden?

ProfessorRomendev 13 points ago +13 / -0

Not only was Snowden right to flee to russia, I’d go as far to stay he should stay the heck in russia even if Trump pardons him.

I’ve seen far to many stories of people getting suicided to think he’d be safe here.

IPMang 12 points ago +12 / -0

DJT used to be a guy on a TV show that I didn't watch that apparently said "You're fired" a lot.

Look at him now.

My opinion changed based on new information.

11
BunnyPicnic 11 points ago +11 / -0

A traitor? If he didn't flee, he'd been in prison for life, or killed. Knowing who was in charge then, I'd guess he'd been killed.

I disagree. Snowden’s a patriot. There was no one to whistleblow to in Obama’s/The Deep State’s control of the Executive and look at what happened to those who tried. Oaths don’t eliminate the moral obligation to do what’s right. He did so a great personal cost to himself.

Bramble 16 points ago +17 / -1

You're going to have to give a bit more detail than that to convince anybody.

I worked in the same building as a Verizon call center, but I couldn't tell you 1 thing about them.

Treason for selling us out to the Russians and exposing ongoing assets you dullard.

Some of you Snowden defenders are just plain stupid people who think that your own lack of logic makes you right.

You use the same argument BLM does. Because X is wrong, anyone opposing it is right and justified in whatever they do.

No. You’re just acting like a typical paint licker.

The government was wrong, but that doesn’t make Snowden right. It doesn’t give him a pass for selling secrets to the Russians To try to buy his freedom. .

But hey, at least you’re part of the democrat majority with that logic skippy.

12
b3team 12 points ago +14 / -2

What secrets did he give to Russia? He gave everything to journalists.

You have to prove your claims here. Spoiler alert: you can't.

Trust me, if the government could even slightly prove that Snowden's actions resulted in what you claim, it would be parade's non stop on the news.

Do you think that your proximity to a building that someone else worked in makes your opinion more valuable?

3
FREEDOM1st 3 points ago +4 / -1

I worked in the same building as Snowden.

Cleaning toilets?

The Hawaii Cryptologic Center (HCC) or NSA Hawaii is a U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) Central Security Service (CSS) facility located near Wahiawa on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.[1][2] The facility opened on January 6, 2012 at a cost of $358 million.[2] The center focuses on signals intelligence intercepts from Asia, and conducts cybersecurity and cyberwarfare operations.[3][4]

In May 2013, a worker at this facility, Edward Snowden,[5] took many classified documents and provided them to the press, revealing the existence of a number of top secret NSA mass surveillance programs.[6][7]

But if the government says the people can't see or know it, that is sacrosanct even if it is directly violating the constitution?

You are loyal to your masters over the American people, sad!

1
prayinpede 1 point ago +5 / -4

No you didn't

19
Bramble 19 points ago +22 / -3

Snowden tried to turn whistleblower, but he was rebuffed at every turn. He did what he did because it was his last and only option.

He was neck deep in swamp and nobody would turn on Obama.

-6
StronklikeBull -6 points ago +6 / -12

Bullshit.

Again, that’s the same false logic blm and democrats use.

X was doing something wrong, so anything in opposition is justified.

That’s not the case, it’s just that you lack basic logic.

6
prayinpede 6 points ago +8 / -2

False dichotomy is a logical fallacy. You lack it. Go back to glow school

Appeal to emotion and straw man with a dash of false dichotomy. Why are you betraying the last bastion of freedom? When you were a child is this how you imagined you'd impact the world? By aiding tyranny and pure evil. Dont give me that "well someone will do it, might as well be me and get paid". Take a look in the mirror and be honest with yourself. Is this the legacy you want to leave in the world???

Violation of the constitution is the deepest most heinous crime that possibly exists. What the NSA was doing was infinitely more immoral and dangerous than anything Snowden did. Stop trying to compare to the BLM riots. The BLM rioters are idiot terrorists not because of their methods, but because what they are rioting over is a lie. There is no statistically provable mass murder program targeting black Americans. If there were, they would have a point. Just like if the country were violating the 1st amendment and the 2nd amendment on a mass scale, then yes, burn down the fucking country because it's not America anymore. Liberty or death. I have literally Zero loyalty to any president, politician, office, or agency in this land. I will fight for the preservation of the constitution. Period.

If he's pardoned, I want him on a private plane directly back to America. I don't trust that he wont be "arrested" in another country where he has a layover, or that the plane wont have "an emergency" where they will be forced to land in some other country.

I used to think Snowden was a jackass and should go to jail for leaking classified information. But after seeing Millie's documentary, I can see exactly why he didn't try to go the legit whistleblower route: he'd have been killed right away, or at least completely ignored and blacklisted.

Snowden is in big trouble. Trump will not pardon him because he tried to destroy the nsa. Eric is a clown, and their objective was to take out the NSAs surveillance systems. Cia wanted all the power.

Cia corrupted at highest levels Nsa not corrupted at highest levels

Eric is very intelligent, he is a traitor, and he played and hurt many good people.
