1.) Egypt (1979)
2.) Jordan (1994)
3.) United Arab Emirates (2020)
Let’s see if we can get another one to join that list.
I’m also willing to bet we will see most of the gulf states join in within the decade. What helps is that the Arab states see Iran as a much larger threat than Israel.
This was the point of the UAE announcement. Sure they were close but making official makes it easier for others to normalize.
The Arab League agreed in 2002 to condition normalized relations with Israel up an Israeli promise to cede the West Bank and Gaza.
Trump is undoing that compact, spreading peace across the middle east.
