Wouldn’t go by myself, but obvi the cousin is black and I’ll be with his family. Plus I grew up in the Jacksonville ghetto, my bus got shot at in 4th grade by some cokehead. He didn’t invite me cause I’m a huge pussy lol I’ll fuck a Jamaican up if they try some shit

Yep. It's all about respect for the what the Anthem stands for. Can't deny how much positive outcome the US has given to the world and what the US stands for.

7
Wtf_socialismreally 7 points ago +7 / -0

There's that, and there's also just being classy, right?

These national anthems are national anthems for a reason. Be classy at events, and respectful to your peers.

As we become more "civilized", we become less civilized. It's vexing.

The world by and large used to be respectful and "gentlemanly", and it was considered a good value to be so.

Now everyone just acts like dicks to each other without reason.

4
Rugar22 4 points ago +4 / -0

Hopefully the rise of the new conservative age will bring more respect back.

Go thru his post history for a laugh. Almost as good as the comment section for sugar free gummy bears on amazon

4
2
tombombadil 2 points ago +2 / -0

Basically any sugar free candy is a laxative if you eat enough. It usually says it right on the packaging.

2
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've never heard that. Why? Is it because of the substitute for sugar or something?

I'm not a big gummy bear fan. And when I do eat candy it's the real thing not some cuck globalist Commie fake candy shit.

1
tombombadil 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah it’s the fake sweetener that they use. It is called maltitol. The fake sweeteners that they use in diet drinks doesn’t have a laxative effect, but I don’t those sweeteners don’t work in solid food for some reason.

I had some jelly belly’s once that tasted a little off. I looked at the packaging and realized I had accidentally bought the sugar free kind. Then I saw right below the logo the warning that they can have a laxative effect. Let’s just say that afterwards I had a lot of time sitting down on my phone to do research on what causes this. I probably lost 8 pounds in water weight that day.

2
WhitePowerRanger 2 points ago +3 / -1

I recently rediscovered that Pepto Bismol gives you the jet black poops.

And man, I started making this big ass vegetable stew about 3 or 4 months ago. Spinach, kale, cabbage, sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, Brussel sprouts. Just all my favorite vegetables and leafy greens. With some jalapeños and other peppers. The farts were death. I got some Bino and that reduced em. Started taking 3 Binos and that wiped em out. Tried 2 and it was about a quarter of the farts. It was kinda interesting how effective it was and measurable the effect was.

Also recently added a whole can of Chipotles into something and holy moly, never again.

Thought I'd share my recent poo stories since that uhh seems to be your thing.

11
Cyer6 11 points ago +11 / -0

Yep. Just the fastest man in recorded human history, that's all.

7
aconcernedtroll 7 points ago +7 / -0

If he wanted to, he probably could have run the fastest 400 and fastest 800 in the world too.

5
WhitePowerRanger 5 points ago +5 / -0

I heard it’s his legs alone that power the trump train

5
aconcernedtroll 5 points ago +5 / -0

Haha, real talk though, I was competing in those events as he was already making a huge name for himself. I got to run on the same track as him at the Penn relays, not the same event, but we were in the funnel at the same time. He was huge. Head above everyone else. He was younger at the time, and the consensus was that he was simply too lazy to go the longer distance stuff. Bc even with minimal effort, his 400 times were Olympic level competitive. Or it might've been a smart cost-benefit analysis thing on his part...why push your body and potentially injure yourself when you could focus on sprints instead?

3
WhitePowerRanger 3 points ago +3 / -0

Dude isn’t stupid that’s for sure. I met one of his cousins a couple weeks ago visiting from Miami. We got along and he’s going to take me down to Jamaica to meet him in December. I race motorcycles and I respect speed so much and Bolt was always a hero of mine. Dude heard me going on about him and invited me out to Jamaica to hang out. Had no idea he was his cousin and I didn’t believe him til he pulled out the photo album lol

3
tombombadil 3 points ago +3 / -0

His biggest controversy was that he slowed down at the end of the 100m dash final at the Beijing Olympics. He had such a huge lead that he started celebrating at the 80 meter mark. Despite slowing down, he still managed to get gold and break his own world record. https://youtu.be/o-urnlaJpOA

Between watching him and Phelps get 8 gold medals in swimming, the 2008 summer olympics will always be my favorite.

3
Cyer6 3 points ago +3 / -0

Phelps and Bolt made the Olympics something really special in those years. Now we will probably see less raw athletic ability and more virtue signaling and politicization.

2
redditcansuckme 2 points ago +2 / -0

I remember being dumbfounded upon watching a news report that detailed what Phelps ate during his Olympic career, for that week at least he was having around 12,000 calories per day.

He ate more for breakfast than I would have in three days. His body just needed that ridiculous amount of energy to achieve the feats he did.

2
tombombadil 2 points ago +2 / -0

If you like swimming, Katie Ledecky is fun to watch. She is on a whole different level than everyone else in the sport, similar to how Usain Bolt was. She is actually further ahead of the rest of the pack than Phelps ever was. The difference between Phelps and her is that she only dominates in 3 individual events, where as Phelps was able to pull out victories in 4 individual events. The races are also not as exciting because she wins them by so much lol. It’s still super impressive to watch.

1
Noxapalooza 1 point ago +1 / -0

The guy who slows down and breaks world records

-2
PraiseBeToScience -2 points ago +2 / -4

Personally?

I think he's juiced.

Unlike Michael Phelps who has a truly bizarre physique that is all conducive to swimming (super tall and skinny, freakishly long arms, enormous hands and feet), Usain Bolt is just an otherwise 'normal' guy.

It's weird to look at previous records - in the 21st century suddenly we have humans that can vastly surpass previous records, and they do it every single year... except, if you look at all the previous world records - including those that were disqualified for being juiced - everyone that was ever on the same level as Usain Bolt... was juiced. He is this island that stands alone in the middle of a bunch of records that were all thrown out for cheating, which smart money means he's cheating too.

Even his own teammates were caught using PEDs. Either he knew they were cheating and didn't say anything (which is almost as bad) or he was cheating himself and somehow didn't get caught.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/olympics/rio-2016-usain-bolt-olympic-games-fastest-100m-times-ever-justin-gatlin-jamaica-rio-olympics-a7194536.html?utm_source=reddit.com

Rio 2016: Of the 30 fastest 100m times ever, only nine were achieved by a clean athlete - and all were run by Usain Bolt

Literally the only smart way to take that headline is that Usain Bolt just hasn't been caught cheating yet.

Out of the fastest world record times, Usain Bolt is somehow 0.2 seconds faster than his closest peer who also has never been caught doping.

"I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles"

~Lance Armstrong, after winning his 7th Tour. No positive tests of him had gotten out at this time.

Dude's juiced.

3
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 3 points ago +4 / -1

Either he knew they were cheating and didn't say anything (which is almost as bad)

Strongly disagree. Not his job to tattle tell on people.

But yeah he's probably on the juice.

-2
PraiseBeToScience -2 points ago +2 / -4

Not his job to tattle tell on people.

Yeah, if you don't give the slightest shit about the integrity and honesty of competitive sport.

This isn't like he's not reporting his neighbor for declaring a dependent he doesn't have on his taxes.

2
tombombadil 2 points ago +2 / -0

You are comparing apples to oranges. What would the equivalent of a Michael Phelps, “truly bizarre physique” be for the 100m dash? Humans aren’t built for swimming the four swim strokes quickly. However, we are built for running. The only physics attributes that would benefit a sprinter are longer legs, explosive power, and good reflexes. Usain Bolt has all of those things. Also, none of those things are significantly effected by juicing.

Further, testing for doping at the Olympics has been much more strict than things like the Tour De France. As Armstrong said, everybody was doing it. That is not the case in the Olympics. In fact, I am pretty sure that every time you set a record you have to get tested. It may be that every athlete has to get tested just for qualifying now.

Lastly, training and equipment has gotten much more sophisticated as technology has improved. In swimming, they had to ban body suits because the materials were getting so advanced that races were coming down to who had the more synthetic suit. When those suits were banned in 2009, there was a slight lull in the how frequent National and world records were getting broken. But now swimmers are back to breaking records at a very frequent rate. The reason is that there has been a major shift in how swimmers train. I’m a competitive swim coach and I can go into more details if you want but it’s pretty boring lol.

0
PraiseBeToScience 0 points ago +1 / -1

The only physics attributes that would benefit a sprinter are longer legs

Longer legs does not help you in sprints, it helps you on distance. Bolt has always had mediocre starts because of this.

Further, testing for doping at the Olympics has been much more strict than things like the Tour De France.

Maybe now. But not when Bolt was running.

The World Anti-Doping Agency originally left it up to individual national anti-doping agencies to take care of themselves. Jamaica, however, basically did nothing. The year WADA announced they were taking over for Jamaica was the year Usain Bolt said he'd never run again.

There are also other things about Bolt that raise red flags. Rumor has it that the reason Bolt never competed in the Diamond League except the year he retired is because their anti-doping rules are different and harder to evade. Since Bolt had to quit before the new WADA rules inevitably got him, he was totally clean by that point, and finished off before he quit doping altogether. What's strange is that the Diamond League is like the Triple Crown of track and field meets, and he never, ever competed in his entire running career until 2012 when he quit running altogether.

Also, you have to be incredibly stupid to get caught. You dope when you TRAIN. Not when you COMPETE. Every single athlete has a team of doctors whose entire job it is is to pump them with as much drugs as they can get away with. They know exactly how long they need to stay clean for in order to piss clean. You don't lose the gains you got when you doped for training, which is where the advantage is.

1
ubit 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's our situation. When everyone cheats, the honest guy loses. We're the drug-free nice guy athlete who follows the rules, comes in last place and retires early from minor injuries. This is how the Left gained so much power despite being idiots.

I've run into many non-American black people living in the U.S. You'd be surprised how much some of them love this country.

14
BoilingEnema 14 points ago +14 / -0

They haven't had the benefit of everyone telling them how bad they have it for their entire childhood. Instead they (likely) actually had a bad childhood and can appreciate this place.

5
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 5 points ago +5 / -0

There is actually a demographic of black people more successful than white Americans. I can't remember off the top of my head. This isn't a "good" thing or a "bad" thing. It's not good or bad someone is more successful than whites. It's just a statement of fact.

The reason most black Americans are not is clearly because of the culture.

2
GorillaWarfare 2 points ago +2 / -0

Far fewer Caribbean and other-than-Somali African blacks are total shitbags compared to inner city American blacks. Probably has something to do with not being raised in the post-LBJ failed culture that consumes most urban US black communities.

Generational welfare and subsidy of single motherhood makes a culture more prone to shitbaggery and aggression than people who have escaped literal third-world conditions. Think about the significance of that for a moment.

7
LexiconDevil402 7 points ago +7 / -0

The best thing I ever heard said about Usain as an athlete was that Michael Phelps redefined was was possible for an Olympian in 2008, Usain Bolt redefined was possible for a human being.

Shocking that people who lived actual under oppressive third-world governments where it's not unusual to be robbed, brutalized, or murdered by the local authorities for no reason at all would dislike people who live their entire lives in a country that gives them every possible opportunity to succeed, often funded by taxpayer dollars, then claim to be "oppressed" because committing crimes and then resisting arrest occasionally results in violence at the hands of the authorities.

3
bothloveocean 3 points ago +3 / -0

I never thought about it that way. And the left says we are obsessed with race.

3
WhitePowerRanger 3 points ago +4 / -1

We are obsessed with calling people out on their bullshit, nonsense, stupidity, illogical fallacies, and generally just shoving a boot in the face of their “reality”.

Their only comeback is “you only don’t like what I say cause I’m black/woman/faggy/whatever” and due to the recent history of Jim Crow and slavery, the race card is the easiest to throw in your face because it’s literally impossible to defend against. It’s already an irrational argument, and no amount of logic will persuade them otherwise. So I just embrace it like “k I’m racist. You’re still a fucking idiot” And then they inevitably go “well I don’t talk to racist” or some bullshit along those lines. And I’m like “silence is violence” cause it’s funny to me. What’s the point even arguing with them anymore. Just makes you look more racist in their eyes lol

Anyways, I know clarkson said some weird shit, but if he was truly racist, it’s hard to watch him shaking usains hand and talking with him for an hour without grimacing And think “damn he hates this guy”

6
WhitePowerRanger 6 points ago +6 / -0

Matt Dumba certainly exemplifies his last name (although I’d add two S’s to it). It’s fucking Reaves I’m worried about now because the VGK are doing really well and I watched Reaves pummel one of my players (the Avs. I think it was Cole) face into the ice after tackling him well after the whistle. He got penalized but had the biggest shit eating grin on his face and I can’t wait til we face them again and big Z just pummels his pathetic ass. Russians don’t give a fuck about identify politics.
