They haven't had the benefit of everyone telling them how bad they have it for their entire childhood. Instead they (likely) actually had a bad childhood and can appreciate this place.
There is actually a demographic of black people more successful than white Americans. I can't remember off the top of my head. This isn't a "good" thing or a "bad" thing. It's not good or bad someone is more successful than whites. It's just a statement of fact.
The reason most black Americans are not is clearly because of the culture.
Far fewer Caribbean and other-than-Somali African blacks are total shitbags compared to inner city American blacks. Probably has something to do with not being raised in the post-LBJ failed culture that consumes most urban US black communities.
