First timer here - would a polymer80 g150 lower and complete rifle parts kit for $150 be fine for first build to try? Just to get experience?

I think you have to mill out to complete the lower, their kit probably is the one that includes the jig but you'd need a bench press or a mill.

I'd recommend a stripped lower receiver that's already mil-spec, stamped, everything 1st time.

Try a bass pro or cabelas if you have them, they'll be cheaper and save money on the transfer, otherwise it's currently a race to buy them online before they sell out. EVERYWHERE

Anderson and Aero Precision are some of the more plentiful, people call them poor but it's the exact same specs, material and tolerances of one's that cost $200-300+
