I understand. But just keep in mind that whatever obstacles you are up against now, will only get worse as time goes on. It's already harder to buy an AR in California in 2020, than it was in 2015.
Still. It's absolutely the case that government has spent an inordinate amount of effort on making such a basic right a bureaucratic nightmare to overcome, and I fully empathize.
I picked up my AR-15 at Rural King last Sunday. I purchased online on 7/31. At the store, I had to wait 30 minutes for my background check to go through. The longest I've ever had to wait.
Shoot. Last week at the store, my background check came back before the salesman even finished his part of the paperwork. Probably the fastest I've ever seen it go through.
well, I had meant California has a ten day waiting period before you can actually even take possession of your gun, versus other states that have a 3 day period.
But I hear you, the wait times even in brick and mortar stores are insane right now.
Dam I’m jealous. Here in CA we have to make an appointment just to go to the gun shop. Then fill out paperwork. Present everything. Then wait for the background check period to pass then make another appointment to go pick it up. It’s nuts in LA

you got that right. we also have the longest waiting times for a gun, the highest taxes, etc. etc. etc.

I was rubbing in your face a bit. Couldn't help myself.
