Meanwhile I have to use it so I know very well why we need to privatize. Should be multiple competing delivery companies and distribution centers. Congress can still mandate the regulations that cover them, and protect US Mail by federal law. No jobs will be lost. (except the really shitty people, which is why they won't let it happen)
Our postman is awesome. Old Asian dude. We get our mail by 9:00 in the morning. Do I like the bureaucrats that run the post office. Awe, hell no.

Don't forget the sweetheart pensions. They make a killing on 20 yrs worked and the liabilities add up. A safe job will killer benefits.
