Pollack jokes in America started well before Hitler. The educated Poles were hijacked to Russia after the Partition of Poland in the 18th century. There were no Pollack jokes in Russia as the Poles were considered highly cultured. The Poles that came to America were hard working children of the earth. Everyone who comes to America gets needled for being different. But the Poles in the USA turned out to be a huge plus for the country. Smart, industrious, hardworking, family orientated.

You just described what happens when people legally immigrate and assimilate into the United State of America.

The hell is your problem buddy? You -ism/ist or something?

It was a pretty normal stereotype in my Grandpa's time that Poles were considered stupid drunks. It was a point of contention when my mother married a Pollack. My dad was never a drunk but he was certainly a handsome ditz. I think I lucked out. I got the blonde hair and blue eyes but my mother's brains. My friends have also called me Hitler's wet dream which is a bit confusing as he wasn't fond of Poles.
