It's funny because you can see that basically all of the homeless have signs saying "God bless" or some variation, you can see who is helping them, not to mention if you volunteer at any of the shelters or soup kitchens, they're practically all run by churches.
The left will claim they want to address that at a government level, but never really have any plan except using the problem as an excuse to gain more power and no answer to why their ways of doing things always make things worse. The proponents of socialism never explain why it can't scale itself up from small communes of people sharing everything voluntarily. Like, if you can't even get a small scale version working, what makes you think the problems get easier when running a whole country? It's always just an excuse to leech off of others, they never want to build anything, they want a utopia but also want to pretend that no work goes into making stuff. You can see how insane they are from wanting a 4 day week. Yes, in theory that'd get more employment, but employment is already rebounding, what we need is more production so that there's something to actually buy with all the money being printed. A ridiculous amount of crops were wiped out in the midwest last week... we're not headed for good times.
We have a corruption of competence going on with them, they've slowly hollowed out industries where almost any idiot can at least do the job poorly (education, journalism, acting, administration) and corrupted them with their leftist favoritism which is coming back to bite us as the institutions they corrupt fall apart.

We had BLM vandals spray paint graffiti on some large rocks at the beach here. Some patriots went down a couple of days later and cleaned it all up, and a local Democrat complained about it on social media and called them Nazis. A few days later the BLM vandals returned and spray painted the rocks again. The same Democrat who had complained about it being cleaned up the first time posted "The Republicans have been spray painting again!" This lady blames Republicans for cleaning up the shitty BLM graffiti, then turns around and blames Republicans for painting more BLM graffiti.

I think it's OK to have these convos. It won't sap your strength if you know that your main goal is to not spend too much time on it, make ONE good and valid point (like the one that conservatives helped you when you were homeless), and then move on. One of my better friends is a lifelong Democrat and is very open to debate. He keeps his composure and doesn’t hurl insults. However I notice when I’m winning the Democrat or Republican debate he would always end the conversation with a, “well they’re both bad and don’t care for us!” That was as far as he would concede. I did change his mind on Hillary but that’s no big win. He loves Obama and he actually believes the scandal free narrative. When I sent him a link on the Obama drone strikes he didn’t speak to me for 2 months. We were coworkers for 15 years lol.
