When I lived in commiefornia(thank god that's over with), I was on the beach of Santa Cruz having a fire with my girlfriend at the time and my 90lb black pitbull mix who I had on a long tether. Some methed up degenerate lumbered out of the shadows towards us. My dog did his general "Stay the fuck away" growl/bark and I told the guy "Hey, pal...you should just not come any closer, my dog isn't friendly (he's seriously a sweetie, but he looks terrifying). Have a good night." He ignored us and my dog's tone went an octave lower. I couldn't fucking believe what I was hearing. I had never heard him sound like that before, and it made my hackles go up. My dog knew something was seriously wrong and wasn't having any of it. I yelled at the guy "This dog intends to literally rip your throat out if come any closer to us. He's not fucking around and you need to get the fuck out of here right now before I let him."
Thankfully the guy left, but holy shit. Really made me love and respect my dog even more. He got a nice steak that night.
My dogs hate the fedex driver. He loves the ups and usps oh and the amazon, but with a passion hates the fedex driver and almost bit him once. I keep a close eye on him cuz something just kind of told me to and knowing the dogs think so too it’s an extra eye.
