Shiva wrote a program he named e-mail. I give him credit for writing such a program as a teenager in the late 70s.

Email existed from the early to mid 1960s on and was widespread in many circles around the world through the ‘70s. Unix mail started in 1972. Even CompuServe offered email to the public prior to Shiva’s program.

When he says he is the inventor of “E-Mail” he means that he invented a program he named “E-Mail.”

I disagree. He means he invented email, but in actuality he wrote a program he named email.
