Can’t wait to vote Trump and a full republican ticket in November. I started my red pill journey at the end of 2019. A friend sent me a Fleccas video of him talking to Trump protestors and my lib brain hated him with everything it could because he was so nice but just on the “wrong” side of things. I “knew” he was lying and just trying to be manipulative. I told my friend he was an asshole for sending me the video and that he was just interviewing crazies. It stuck with me though, I began to think about all the boogie men/women who speak from right wing talking points that I had been told were bigoted racist and misogynistic. I thought hey if these people really are as bad as they say then I should be able listen to them speak and call out their “racist/bigoted” agendas so I could be a more “informed” lib. I was blown away by how reasonable these people were and how they spoke with respect towards their opponents with different views. Provided those opponents treated them with respect as well. I started to see how much they cared for people and their fellow Americans and that it wasn’t a movement of hate. I basically started watching everything I could and going back and looking at past events where the media had painted Trump supporters or conservatives as racist/misogynistic non humans and seeing how ass backwards I had it because of the media spins. The Covington kid, and “good people on both sides” blew up my mind. I hated that kid and Trump for not condemning white supremacists. I could go on but I’m typing this on a phone and it’s painfully slow.
Ps I used to hate r/the_donald so much when I was stuck in the echo chamber that is reddit and never understood why you guys called yourself ‘pedes’.

I agree, the amount of continual lying and discord that our media and international media has sewn into our country is disgusting and unforgivable. I used to believe Democrats wanted what was best for our country too but now it’s more clear than ever that if they don’t get their way they are willing to destroy what so many have died here to build. If we're swapping stories, I was a leftist my whole life, and i remember when President Trump was in the primaries, and I was disgusted by it. I kept hearing how evil and racist he was. How dumb he was... yada yada yada. Eventually I was like "let me see what kinda bull shit this is". Listening to him, I then realized I agree with him on trade, manufacturing, immigration, corruption, foreign wars. And I hadnt really missed many rallies since. Ive gotten in so many arguments with friends and family with me just telling them to "LISTEN TO HIS WORDS, NOT NEWS STORIES ABOUT HIM" and some of them will even say no, that they wont listen. Just pathetic.
EDIT: The first "RIDICULOUS BULLSHIT!" was my favorite rally.

The worst is when you look back at them afterwards and realize how openly bigoted many Democrats are. They openly advocate for treating people differently based on race, gender, and everything else. MLK would be spinning in his grave. Then they call us racists when we say we prefer everyone be treated equally regardless of skin color. Shit, they're even literally trying to repeal civil rights laws in California, so that the state can be allowed to discriminate by race. It doesn't get more openly racist than that.

If I watched CNN, MSNBC, etc. and believed everything they say, I'd hate POTUS and his supporters. Welcome. I am curious, I myself was quite lefty 4-5 years ago, but I always wonder what could convince a person like what you were, or what I was, to get into out of the echo-chamber. I never held strong beliefs, although I entertained radical ones, and I was always skeptical.
For me my skepticism peaked when I used to watch Trevor Noah rant about Trump all the time... but then started to "get late" on the criticisms and jokes about Hillary, who I considered to be among the worst humans on Earth. I realized something was off, and that these pundits weren't these intellectual underdogs I always thought they were.
Later I happened to watch some of Trump's speech, possibly the one where he talked about his plans in the beginning. I realized everything he said was actually good and he actually called out corruption (drain the swamp). Then came Jordan B. Peterson and later Stefan Molyneux. I took my time to contemplate about everything and at the end I became a pro-border Libertarian.
I think, for me it would have been sufficient to introduce me to Libertarianism in general, but in a deeper, philosophical way. The ethics would have been a key topic of all. It was the missing puzzle piece.
What do you think could have snapped you out of it? What words could have convince you to doubt your beliefs?
Make sure that anyone you vote for - of whatever party - votes America First on immigration issues.
Most Republicans vote like Democrats on immigration - and this is the only issue that matters in the long run - since it controls every other issue.

One other thing is even though we are quite reasonable and in general much more media savvy (something that comes with lots of training in filtering BS), we do get things wrong sometimes. False flags can seem realistic, Fake News is a multi-million dollar onslaught. It has crept into Fox News, compromised Drudge. You always have to keep your wits about you, be skeptical of a lot,mand find who you can trust.
