People have the governments they deserve in every case. Venezuelans got what they voted for and what they represent. Government, given time, is simply the embodiment of the morality, ethics, and beliefs of the populace. True for communist China, North Korea, and the United States. I’ve traveled all over the world and have seen firsthand how this is the case. Africa as a continent has tremendous natural resources, in many places tremendous fertility, but it is full of Africans. Corruption, illiteracy, and crime are rampant. This isn’t something being done to this continent. Likewise, in America, it is the decay in morality that has led to the total decline we see around us of politicians, the media, our judicial system, and the entertainment industry. Mexico has mineral resources, oil, a mild climate, but it is full of Mexicans and therefore it is what it is. Remove the people and put in a different group, and you get totally different outcomes. Not saying this to be racist, but so much of the youth of this country looks around the world and sees victims of oppression, colonialism, capitalism etc to explain corrupt or tyrannical regions of the world. I reject that. Countries are the way they are because of the general characteristics of their people. Countries that are crime ridden, dirty, and corrupt largely have populace’s that are criminal, dirty, and corrupt. Always exceptions and good people everywhere, but big picture this is the case.
