A hobbyist "drone" hitting AF1 isn't much of a problem. Even if it gets sucked into an engine, a 747 has four of them.
Now, if we're talking about something like a full-sized aircraft packed with explosives, then yeah, that's a problem.
Last time I looked, there had been a grand total of eight (8) actual collisions between "drones" and aircraft worldwide since the media started spouting off about the terror of drones. Those eight (8) collisions resulted in zero deaths and a bit of minor skin damage.
There was one military helicopter that sliced through a quadcopter, had no problems whatsoever, and then later on when they looked at it they were whining that there was a ding in the leading edge of one blade. OH MY FUCKING GOD they had to replace a blade. Just imagine if the fucking helicopter had to go into combat, they think no one would be trying to fill it full of holes? Meanwhile, the NYPD has actively attempted to ram people's quadcopters out of the air just for fun. I guess the NYPD cares even less about taxpayers getting stuck for maintenance expenses than the military does. :-/

tl;dr: drones aren't an existential threat
