Yessir. And it’s highly unlikely it’s due to the general population, by my estimation. Someone is gearing up for war with China, methinks. Or at least preparing for it as being a likely possibility
I wasn’t being sarcastic. I was genuinely thanking you for bringing it to my attention. I was confused by your response at first and went back to read my comment to see how you would have reached that conclusion and realized it said “precluded” rather and “preceded”. It was a typo, but incorrect nonetheless
I know The owner of a national Canned goods company, and he said they can’t find cans anywhere since the outbreak. This has been in the pipeline for a while
Interesting to note locally they have shut down recycling where I'm at. If there's an aluminum shortage you'd think recycling aluminum would become more prominent/profitable, not less?
Also...guys, how much of our aluminum comes from China? I don't know the answer, I'm just speculating here.
I'm in the industry. Run a liquor store. Coin shortage is due to people not circulating coins ie using credit over cash when they go to stores. Interesting how that works just a few months of people not putting change creates a shortage. Banks will still give just like 3 rolls of quarter per week(for example)
Aluminum can shortage is three-fold. 1) We're home more drinking more 2) We're getting majority of our aluminum from China because 3) We're recycling less now.
It's a weird situation but that's what I know so far.
Recycling isn't allowed in most states right now. In California, people are throwing away more cans than ever. My landlord would stockpile cans, but he started just throwing them away with the regular trash since the state hasn't been able to recycle for like 4 months. Trump also put tarrifs on Canadian (?) Aluminum.
Iim sorry. I did not mean that to be a put down. More information for anyone else who scrolls through the comments. This site is becoming frustrating. Serious topics that deserve conversation are overrun by posters who demonstrate they are either really young, really juvenile, or lack an adequate education to think for themselves. God speed.

You insulted OP and anyone curious about this topic by saying anyone who hasn’t “deduced why this is happening” has a common core education. You didn’t contribute anything meaningful. You didn’t contribute any information on topic, such as reasons why there may be an aluminum shortage. You followed up by doubling down with a fake apology which included more scorn than humility. This quote however is a very good description of yourself.
Call it whatever you want. I’ll take you seriously when you contribute something meaningful to OP’s question instead of some condescending bull crap with zero substance like say, answer his question about why there may be an aluminum shortage.
Humor me, let’s say I’m just a common core educated hypocrite. What reason(s) would there be for an aluminum shortage?
Sure. And just to preface, take a look at the top voted comments in the thread. I believe one is aout Wall Street having it out for Trump and the other suggesting we are going to war. That's what people will see when they open this thread.
Since the pandemic started, people have been consuming more packaged goods at home. One of those happens to be beer. It's not like I can go to the bar down the street. Notice OP also mentions it's just the Budweiser, and not the craft stuff. Budweiser happens to be more popular and economical, so no surprise that they would have a shortage before other less poplar brands. However I would not be surprised if the opposite surfaces since AB has a little more market power than you local mom and pop brewery. Also, it is not an aliminum shortage as much as it is an aluminam can shortage. Https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/5443308002
LOL This is Wall STreet trying to fuck with Trump because he put tariffs on Canadian (Chinese) aluminum
Go higher than "Wall Street ", and there you shall see the true enemies of our people.
Coin and aluminum shortages historically have preceded a war
Yessir. And it’s highly unlikely it’s due to the general population, by my estimation. Someone is gearing up for war with China, methinks. Or at least preparing for it as being a likely possibility
How would coin and aluminum shortages stop a war?
I meant precede and for some reason it autocorrected it. Thanks for pointing that out
"Thanks for pointing that out"
That's what made your reply sting. Carry on the good fight, friend. And I apologize for being, as our fellow pede said, pennantic.

Nice! I see what you did there.
Don't be pennantic. lol
USPS having problems as well.
Communications disruption could mean only one thing, invasion.

Personally, I rather like cheap aluminum. If other countries want to subsidize our aluminum consumption, I say let them.

There is also a Dr pepper shortage
I got my 12-pack at the store today! BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!
War coming...
Why do you say this?

A lot of aluminum in landfills right now.

A great read if you've never heard this one before.
I work in the construction trade. It's been very hard to find any metal materials lately. from aluminum to steel. Everything is crazy right now.
Aluminum is the most common metal in the world, at least in it's raw state.
If there's a shortage, it's because of a dumb reason. I guarantee it.
My neighbor’s son is a machinist. He was just cut back to 4 days a week because they can’t get enough medal to do the jobs.
If you have more than a common core education you could deduce why this is happening. Not everything is some grand conspiracy theory.
Hey thanks for the put down, really appreciate it and for the record I graduated before common core.
Still unsettling to see and fully understand where the implications point to.
Posting this mainly because it's the first time I've seen it in a large grocery chain.
Jeb's probably just having a bad day. Keep on trucking, man!

Fair enough. Not my intention but I can see how it came off that way. I find your insulting me a tad hypocritical.

Thank you.
Appreciate it, think I had your same feeling here after I saw 10,000 shadowgate posts.
Mods are doing great with the serious traffic, just wanting to know the inside track as we have here so often.
