I didn't play it (I also never played the first game), but I watched xQc's stream of it. I couldn't tell if Abby was a woman or a man, although I lean woman.
The only thing that gives me pause is that the writers are obviously pretty woke. What I think is kind of funny is that they set out to build a game that pushes a leftist vision of the world, but inadvertently ended up saying very right things: Once society breaks down, the world that remains is more free, but also way more ugly and cruel where happiness is extremely difficult to carve out. I can't think of many pieces of art that are such a hopeful ode to society and the rule of law.
