I saw a Tim Pool video recently about how some people lack inner monologue. I did a quick look right now, but couldn't find a link. I think it was on his IRL channel.
I found it, if true it's fucking weird. I'm constantly thinking and my "inner monolgue" never shuts up. Yet some people flat out don't think, fuck'n a that would be horrible.
Having your inner monologue never shut up is not good either. Makes it hard to focus, you wrap false narratives around things, your mind never gets an opportunity to think subconsciously, etc. That's what meditation and such is all about. Quieting mine has made me much more focused, calm, and deliberate in actions especially within each moment. Your thoughts should be mere observations not driving your day.
But yeah wow I thought everyone had an inner monologue.
I've read psychological papers on this years ago. Some people are so extroverted they cannot 'think' without speaking.
You know that person who never seems to shut up, and it's like every random thought they have just spills out of their mouth? That's exactly what's happening. That person can't think internally, so they have to talk for their brain to even function. Silence and 'alone time' are like sensory deprivation to them
When that person is sitting quietly while the television speaks to them, they are quite literally being told what to think. When they watch a movie and hear the villain monologue about how half the population needs to die for socialism to work, they don't question it at all.

Might I suggest prayer and asking the lord to quiet outside influences so you can identify what is wise and do it?
Try it out, helped me a lot. Trump is such a stable genius cause he was an active but calm mind, always focused.

The really funny thing is, the whole no inner monologue thing started spreading around months after the NPC meme peaked.
