I've read psychological papers on this years ago. Some people are so extroverted they cannot 'think' without speaking.
You know that person who never seems to shut up, and it's like every random thought they have just spills out of their mouth? That's exactly what's happening. That person can't think internally, so they have to talk for their brain to even function. Silence and 'alone time' are like sensory deprivation to them
When that person is sitting quietly while the television speaks to them, they are quite literally being told what to think. When they watch a movie and hear the villain monologue about how half the population needs to die for socialism to work, they don't question it at all.
