Because socialism/communism turns people into weak-minded serfs. Look at urban environments in America. All run by socialist democrats and ppl just accept whatever they're told to do. Skills that allow for true independence don't exist. Everything is interconnected. Nobody builds anything. Nobody grows their own food. Nobody can fix anything themselves. That's what they want everywhere.
These gigantic corporations are so wealthy they don't have to focus on profits anymore. They focus on gaining power. There's a famous line in House of Cards where Frank Underwood explains the difference. The corporations want to make you and your future generations weak-willed consumers forever. They promote leftism because leftism makes people weak. Sure they give up short term profits now but they are playing the long game. Local lefty dipshit governments throwing a wrench into their plans is just a short term thing.
The end goal for these corporations is to control everything you consume. If they control your supply of food for example, how do you resist them?
Amazon has billions of dollars and can afford the lawyers and bribes to keep doing business in the future.
But anyone just now trying to start their own e-commerce website the same way Bezos did will get fucked by regulations and will never be able to get off the ground.
It keeps Amazon’s business model safe from competition.
I'd support them but both companies are run by rabid leftists who support every anti-American cause under the sun. Fuck them.

Scatter the voters so that fraud isn't so obvious.
