I am a 30 year old male overweight and ready to change for my family and myself.
Current weight 266, height 6’.
Any nutritionist on here that recommended what I can do to better myself.
Is anyone down for a competition on who can lose more. Let’s start a weekly report on our progress.
Anyone down?
Giving up Soda, was key in my weight loss. It made it easier to stop eating so much sugar, as well. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
^ That. And drink more water when you feel hungry. Very often a hunger pain is related to hydration.
I'd give you three pieces of advice (in order)
And, lastly, get more sleep, as much sleep as is possible. (Advice from someone that struggles with this: turn down the lights, put the phone/laptop down at least 2 hours before bed).
Thanks for the tips..the sleep thing interesting.
Thanks.
Also remember you can exercise just about anywhere in your house. I do calve lifts several times a day while at the sink. Wall push-ups in kitchen every night. Squats at sink holding counter works for me...Leg lifts in shower. It just became a habit with me and I try to do off and on. It has really made a difference for me. I just found it hard to go to the gym. I also do 30 min walk on treadmill. Just start a little at time..Good luck pede!
Good idea for a sub...the donald.lose
Watching the Democrat corruption and never getting arrested for any of it makes me lose my appetite. No covid shutdown weight gain for me, only weight loss.
I’m a stress eater unfortunately, it’s a viscous circle. Being overweight creates stress.
Every time you think about killing commies, do some pushups
I won’t have time to work!
Concentrate on eating smaller portions, use the small plates and bowls.
Also be conscious of liquid calories. You don't realize how much junk you drink. Go for water first.
Yea I’m ready to cut off all energy drinks. Those seem to slow me down. Thank you!
I have a routine for 3 days a week. I don't go to a gym, a I have a 100lb barbell and adjustable dumbells. All in all weights cost me about 30 bucks a decade ago. I don't do a special diet. I eat mostly breads and red meat. I could probably trim down to a lean 160 if I managed my diet better but I love to eat and fuck it. We have our vices.
Walk about 2-3 miles 2-4 times a week for 2 months. If you cut out sodas and beer you'll see an improvement. Walk with purpose. 3-5mph is good. Drink at least a gallon of water a day, every day. Just doing the walks and committing to that much will get you 7-10lbs.
After you're comfortable with the walks, procure a bike. Mountain or road bike, doesn't matter. Whatever is good for you. Map a route at 5 miles and start doing time trials. Start brisk and then gradually tear into it. You'll tire out but after about 2 months you'll be at speed for the full route and spending less time committing to it- throw in a few longer routes to mix it up on weekends.
Think in terms of bags of sugar. Next time you're shopping, go look at a 5lb bag of sugar. Focusing on numbers is good, but perspective is nicer. Dropping just 10lbs is two full bags of sugar.
At one point I was at 300+. I may have to get a bike, would be fun to ride with my son.
Have you considered the Venezuelan diet?
No, seriously... Cut all soda, milk, juice, beer, etc. Water is all any animal requires.
And for God's sake never step foot into a fast food joint. I cut fast food for 1 year. On the rare occasion I'm forced to eat it, it now makes me feel ill for a day.
If you add up what you consume in a day I bet its easily equal to a Big Mac. I lost 20# easily doing this.

Try intermittent fasting. Download the free ZERO app.
Delay don’t deny!
Start with being honest with yourself, what level of physical activity can you do 5 days a week?
Next, track your caloric intake everyday for a week. Analyze what you eat versus what a balanced diet looks like on paper.
Last step, be kind to yourself (i know it sounds stupid) losing weight takes time and perseverance. Allow yourself to slip, have a cheat meal, have a cheat day. Keep a positive mental outlook and follow these steps and I guarantee you will succeed. Saved you a few hundred clams and trip to a nutrionist.
Check out "Fit for Life" by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond.
It's not a diet... just a very easy, successful way to regroup your food choices.
Diets only make you crave what you can't have, and most people gain MORE weight back after the diet fails.
I lost 20 lbs, my girlfriend lost 35, and my best friend lost 40.
Fit for Life works for us.
Please feel free to PM me with any questions--I am happy to help!
I wish you the best, brother!!
Look man, there ain't any secret formula. Drink black coffee and water, that's it.. no more booze, especially beer... cut out the bullshit snacks. Eat good portioned meals of whole foods - meats and vegetables, limit the carbs (bread pasta). Skip breakfast. You know what's good for you and what is garbage. Weight training with focus compound movements if possible is ideal. If not, do some outdoor cardio intensity workouts. Blast some heavy metal and smash your workouts. Stay motivated. You can do it. It ain't no secret, just get it done. Good luck
Sometimes a public announcement is a way to my self realization. But I get it, just do it.
You can do it man. It isnt easy. Consistency is key. You won't see results right away, it will test your mental capabilities. Be strong, stick with it, and eventually you will see results. We need to be better than the libs both mentally and physically. Good luck
