So I finally added a country station (Highway 20) to my SiriusXM menu just to see what I may be missing out on currently. I love Zac Brown and I was there at Red Rocks when Colder Weather debuted, I enjoy the wildly popular country songs most of us have heard, but I wanted to see what else was out there. Inspired by a recent R&B song put out by some ex-stripper, I wondered how some top country songs lyrics compared to top R&B/Rap. Full disclosure, I grew up on a number of artists, from 3rd Bass to Slick Rick to Bob Seger to Metallica to Stevie Wonder to Michael. I have more roots in Rap, but smart enough to appreciate good music of all kinds.. I never hated any one genre. I am putting these songs under the R&B umbrella, but they are more likely rap if we're being specific. I took the Billboard/iHeart/Spotify/Youtube results and found these songs to be the most popular..I took the important lyrics and posted them.
