All because they don't understand that the US isn't a fucking democracy, it's a constitutional republic. Democracy by itself is dumb, it needs to be moderated or else 51% will vote to lynch the other 49% to take their money.

No, the US Code makes you say that. It's foundationally based on equity, not law. We need to go back to our roots.

They're already doing that. And they're almost there. They already have a guaranteed 150 electoral vote head start in every national election - at least, and counting - they're only a few election cycles away from flipping Texas blue forever, and more and more electors are pledging to cast their votes for the national popular vote winner, because nobody knows what the electoral college is for.

Cultural trends are going in the right direction, but we have no institutional power, and the days of our electoral power are circling the drain.
