I knew they werent trying to win when they announced Kamala, and figured they were just going to phone in this election and hold out with their deep state connections for 4 years.

But you are probably right. They may not be trying to win the election, but that is only because they just want to skip right past all this pretending non-sense and just put in the person they want as president without the peoples voice. They can absolutely do that if they their attempts to overthrow elsewhere is successful.
