I think the Dems goofed.

They shrieked about how “voting in person will kill you” but there is no appetite for voting by mail.

So, if anything, Dems suppressed their own base. Those people won’t vote by mail, and may sit this one out.

Alternatively, they know there is absentee voting (which is possibly more secure than voting in person.) They can use that if they’re that afraid of voting in person.
