"A voting system can use the security of blockchain and the mail to provide a reliable voting system," the patent application says. "A registered voter receives a computer readable code in the mail and confirms identity and confirms correct ballot information in an election. The system separates voter identification and votes to ensure vote anonymity, and stores votes on a distributed ledger in a blockchain."

This is not voter ID. Anyone who has a drivers license will be on the registry. They will vote just the same as they are now by way of the “motor voter” laws.

Check the illustrations - it's tied into voter registrations at state and national level, and a voter database.

The process says the voter has to verify their identity.

It doesn't say voter ID, but accomplishes the same thing.

It sends registered voters a code. That’s your identity. Dead grandma can still get a code and anyone willing to break the law could use it. All the illegals who are given drivers licenses will be on the registry and get a code.

This patent ensures correct counting as it separates the personal info from the vote tally. It doesn’t get a photo or thumbprint verification to verify eligibility. If you’re on the role, you get a code. True voter ID would require a picture be taken and used at the time of voting. This would make it a lot harder to cheat, especially if the ID requires proof of citizenship.

Anything less, IMO, is more conditioning of our minds to accept permanent mail-in voting.

Welp - I'm going to keep calling it a national voter ID vote by mail system to trigger leftists. :)
