BLM made a lot of people race aware, that and some people have direct experience with racial discrimination and the hatred towards them.

It's hard to walk the line between being honest about race issues and not be perceived as a "racist", but diplomacy is the only way to avoid violence and so we have to be able to talk about things honestly.
