The minions of the DNC are domestic terrorists by definition (use of violence and intimidation to achieve a political goal or outcome.) They are funded by a foreign sponsor of terrorism (Soros) and multinational corporations, some of those controlled by the communist Chinese government.
The DNC claims the wave of crime and rioting/looting they have encouraged will end if/when they are granted power over our government, and all aspects of the lives and language of Our Citizens. This is preposterous, they have already lost control of Their Base of minorities and migrants and will never be able to control the havoc they enabled. The DNC has the bizarre notion they can rule over a Socialist Utopia of ill-behaved imported Replacement Voters and felons eager to exercise their newly-restored voting rights, without considering what will happen if they attempt to curb the lawlessness before it comes back to bite them.
After letting them run amok for so long with little consequences, and encouraging them to burn and loot their own cities anytime they are offended by the proper use of Law and Order, there is simply no way they will be able to stop the mayhem. The DNC has already had to abandon their own convention planned for Milwaukee and perform a weak version of it online, because they know their own followers would have made good on their promises to burn the city. The WuFlu is merely a weak excuse, the DNC is terrified of the misbehavior they encouraged from Their Base. Idiots storming the stage to steal the microphones are the least of their worries, the DNC "leaders" know they would be lucky to escape the building burning down around them.

This whole boondoggle has been very educational. I did not realize how persistent the power of Permanent Washington could be. I assumed a new incoming President was allowed to clean house and appoint his own administration officials, be that for good or bad. There are cases like the Supreme Court where those officials are in there for life, or until they retire. But I did not realize how many Worst 0bama-era holdovers would remain, screwing things up on behalf of the DNC/Soros alliance. (Example: Comey was appointed by Worst 0bama.)
Also: much like Supreme Court nominees, some positions are subject to congressional approval, so the best person for the job is not necessarily an option. The candidates must be filtered by "who the opposition will tolerate."
So- there are minions of the DNC in high places who can't be gotten rid of easily, and they are protecting their own interests. That's the short answer for why The Swamp is very slow to drain, and why there has been so much opposition to Building The Wall and other MAGA-related efforts.
Also: the mayors of Democrat-controlled "sanctuary cities" and governors of DNC-controlled states invoke "states rights" for their convenience, which allows them to encourage rioting and looting and other lawlessness without Federal intervention.
