I told them I have asthma (I do). I literally just went to the doctor for an episode 3 days ago on Friday. In my state, you are exempt from mask wearing for medical conditions. The government refused to transfer my title and literally screamed at me while I was on the phone to “get out”. (She was black and I’m white and she clearly had an attitude with me from the very beginning).
I’m calling the ADA lawyers tomorrow, I’m bout to be the white “I CANT BREATHE” poster boy.
In fairness, you should probably always wear a mask at the DMV even without COVID. Everything about that place screams Devil's Anus levels of bacterial overgrowth.
The only people who should be wearing a mask at the DMV are the employees because they rob everyone that comes in there.
BINGO
I know you're joking, but it's worth clarifying that the industrial grade "mask" you'd need to wear for bacterial growth / mold is not the kind that people are wearing for covid.
Covid masks are useless outside of a sterile setting against everything except getting yourself sick.
I'm so with you, in theory, on wearing a mask at the germ-fest that is the DMV, but I swear, this mask wearing seems to be making pathogen transmission worse.
Seems like every time I step outside nowadays, I catch something weird that I thankfully fight off within a day.
