I've always been pro choice. Especially in cases of rape or ill health or even extreme poverty, it seems justified to me.

But Planned Parenthood are monsters. I've not used them really but I've supported them. Until yesterday I saw a video about how they knowingly give underaged prostitutes abortions SO they can go back to work for their pimp. Knowingly they perpetuate these evils.

Those underaged prostitutes...are kidnapped children. Planned Parenthood knows this. Yet they dont help the kidnapped victim. But they will kill the unborn baby and then turn the kidnapped child back over to the pimp that most likely kidnapped them. Sorry...but there is a special place in hell for people that aid child kidnappers, trafficers and murderers.

The one line I love about planned parenthood, "if they were really pro choice, why are there no delivery rooms"

I don't really have a strong opinion on the subject, but I can tell you I don't think they should get a dime from the taxpayers for funding...

The women who get abortions for rape and incest are like 0.00001%. 20% of abortions are for economic reasons, and 79-80% give no reason for their abortion. NO REASON. There is a Paul Joseph Watson video showing the stats and I was shocked to hear that the vast majority of abortions cite no reason.

Because of this, I personally wouldn't want my tax dollars to fund abortions for people who can't close their legs or can't plan their finances properly.

I'm not as strict either. The Trump block is not a monolith. We don't have to exactly agree on every single thing.

There are tremendous health risks with abortions that are covered up, including far more frequent uterine injuries than reported, infertility, increased risk of breast cancer, increased risk of ectopic pregnancy later. They also tremendously downplay the risk of guilt that parents feel after they've aborted their child, guilt and depression which often catches its victims by surprise.

So why doesn't the baby get to choose life?

A woman's right to choose ends when a baby's life begins. Baby's are people too. A mother doesn't have the right to murder her child.

I was MAGA but pro-choice for a while too.

As a society, we need to make adoption much more appealing, affordable and a heroic choice. Make non-rape, non life-threatening abortion illegal and adoption a favorable choice.

Make baby daddies who dont pay child support ineligible for ANY federal assistance and watch things turn around in this country.

JohnyBlaze99 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I totally agree! Domestic adoption. There are plenty of babies in our communities that need homes, plus I think international adoption is very entangled in sex trafficking.

I don't think you want to change your mind on the subject. You're looking for anonymous people on a message board to guide your morality. I don't think sources or a particular post will help until you figure it out for yourself.

Long time pro-life advocate.

  1. At conception it's an organism. If allowed to develop it becomes a fetus. A baby who is allowed to develop becomes a toddler. A child who is allowed to develop becomes an adult.

  2. Is it a human organism? Well what other kind would it be? 3When is it a person? Well, this is a philosphic term that was defined as an individual thing with a rational nature. Not that it used reason, but simply because it's an individual (genetically) human organism, it's a person.

  3. All of this said, not everyone agrees with me. Ok. Fine. Let's make a different appeal, if we aren't sure what they are, does it seem morally responsible to conclude they aren't persons because it makes our life easier? Can I non-person other people? Can I be non-personned?

5 However, I am not big into making laws. Abortion is a social problem, a family and a religious problem first and foremost. Most people don't get an abortion because of personhood arguments, they get one because they were sleeping with someone they shouldn't have been or they shouldn't have been having sex at all. It's a political problem lastly. But far too many pro-lifers want the political problem solved, then the philosophical, then the social. This is backwards. You don't legislate good morality, good morals arise from within, through conversion of hearts and minds, not through stupid rights arguments. We need responsibility arguments. Not more stupid rights. Who might I owe a responsibility to, and what should that be? This is far better than who are we legally forced to support because some judge legislated it. The worst thing for the pro-life movement would be a top down legislation from the federal bench. I wouldn't mind the people of the states deciding, but please God, no unelected judges thinking they get to determine whats real and true. It wasn't true for roe, or for oberfell, and it wouldn't be true here either. Lastly, it is not the most pressing issue. It is the gravest. But not the most pertinent precisely because it takes the long are if history to change social values. What is far more pressing is cleaning out the swamp and giving the republic back to the people.

It's impossible to answer the ethical dilemma for when life begins. Could be conception, heart beat, pain sensors, sentience, ability to survive outside the womb. Perfect wedge issue to divide the people.

But prohibition doesn't work, regulation is safer.

Should be a states right issue, no Constitutional right to abortion exists.

4
featherwinglove 4 points ago +5 / -1

Nope, life begins at conception, and the science is settled on that. At conception, you have a zygote with a complete genome capable of independent cellular reproduction that begins to differentiate from its mother immediately. That is when the new organism begins, final answer.

Also, everything you listed, except for the ability to survive outside the womb, is usually up for humans before the pregnancy is detected, which is typically 4 weeks LMP, or 6 weeks after conception. It takes some really good ultrasound imaging and some luck, but you can tell by then whether it's a boy or girl.

Abortion is a complicated subject for me as well. It can't be dealt with by law because it is a morality issue. My biggest problem with banning it is that I think it would create an underground demand for it that the atrocities would be far worse than now. We need as society to return to faith and family. A man with strong faith and family has little use for government hence the need to destroy it by an ever growing government.

1
Mexicola1976 1 point ago +1 / -0

What atrocities were happening? You would here about back alley abortions because they weren't at all common. If they were, it wouldn't be news.

With planned parenthood, apparently it's easier to give abortions than hand out birth control.

2
bubble_bursts 2 points ago +2 / -0

Man, this was a hard one for me too. I had always been pro choice, but abortion has been weaponised by Dems. Right now the way I look at it is that abortion should be available until very early in the pregnancy, and should require counselling before you have it. It should NOT be something doled out nilly willy. No one who has had to have an abortion should feel cavalier about irresponsible sex. And it should never be commodotised. Planned parenthood should be closed and investigated for their crimes.

Just wonder - a non-profit like Planned Parenthood donated 45 million to some Dem fundraising. How can they have money like this?

1
JohnyBlaze99 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

People donate, companies donate, organizations donate. Just one of the million Elites ponzy scheme.

bubble_bursts 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you have ever been on twoxchromosomes, they make it sound like planned parenthood are literal angels descended from heaven and republicans are devils trying to get rid of them. smh

It all becomes such a mess because of all the lies. People don't know good from evil.

2
BigIslandFrog 2 points ago +2 / -0

"One day, I believe, history will look upon abortion as one of the most gruesome, inhuman scourges of our time."

Me. In a statement before the CA Attorney General in Maxine Waters' district.

You can redefine, equivocate, rationalize all you want. But the "choice" is exactly what it says it is.

The intentional termination of a human life.

"Cuz reasons" doesn't change that fact. It merely illuminates your motivation.

Sleep well.

Other people here have probably approached the issue of conception and morality well enough that I don't need to comment specifically on abortion, but would like to add that you're never going to agree with any group or person 100% on everything and that's ok, but right now there are much bigger issues going on than abortion access, which I presume is part of the reason why you're here.

Whether or not we agree or disagree on particular issues is besides the point anyway - it's about being able to meet in the middle and work through our issues together, because right now our country has lost its way and we treat fellow countrymen as enemies simply for disagreeing with one another. It's anti-American, and threatens our entire way of life.

This is the critical issue of our time, and transcends everything else, because none of these other issues will matter if we don't have a country left to work with. Left, right, black, white, we're all Americans, and need to recognize that first before it's too late and we go down a dark path from which there's no return.

Dude, it is an entire mentality.

Liberalism is anti-mankind. It views humans as inherently evil. It is based in fear. It is based in shame. It is afraid there is not enough love and resources to go around. It has deep hatred of human activities and development. A dead baby is better than creating a green house gas making, racist, sexist, oppressive, warmongering, raping, corrupt, monstrous human. Life is unfair, and if you're born into a ahitty situation, you're better off not born than playing the game at all .

Conservatism is pro-life. Any new human is a huge net benefit for humanity. An unborn baby represents endless potential. That baby could be the next Jesus Christ or Albert Einstein. It doesn't matter if the circumstances are less than ideal, there is infinitely more resources and love than any individual could ever need in this world. Every person, regardless of their origin, has the potential to realize a deeply fulfilling life and brings gifts they can share with humanity. In fact, those who overcome the most troublesome origins have the most valuable gifts to share, because they have had to become the strongest and most life affirming among us. You get what you are willing to work, create, fight, take chances, and stand for in this world, even if you start with nothing, and in this way life is perfectly fair.

Finally, the very people they allege to help, women and resource lacking minorities, experience a genocide of their offspring, the very worst thing imaginable that could be done to them. From a moral or biological evolutionary standpoint, its awful.

This is coming from a previous hardcore pro choicer myself. I dragged my ex gf, who i hate, to PP abort my unborn son. She ended up being unable to follow through with the abortion, and in hindsight, that was the only thing she ever did that I love and appreciate. In fact, that was one of the best things anyone ever did for me.

Glad you see the light. In time you will see even more.

Cutting to the chase, you're delving into the spiritual and need to understand you're supporting a great evil because you're concerned about logistics. Have a child. If you still agree with abortions after that, you can't be helped.

I'm not hating. I used to think exactly like you did, but if I were to be honest, I never really gave the subject deep thought and supported it simply due to brain washing. You need to let it sink in that it's not the babies fault, no matter the circumstance. A baby is the embodiment of innocence. It has a clean slate. Doesn't matter if its mom was an unfortunate victim of rape or just got loose in a gang-bang. The baby is, and always will be innocent.

Don't let the extremes define the argument. If it's a scenario where the pregnancy is going to kill the mother, then there is a deep, difficult discussion that needs to be had. Thankfully that is extremely rare - it's more of a movie trope which is why it's top of mind.

Lastly, you need to pivot your mind-set. You need to admit to yourself that abortions on average are just some hoe named Tina who let yet another man nut in her consequence-free. Tina gets abortions because she doesn't want to have to cancel her Netflix account. This is not ok. This is not a reason to let people kill babies. It's ok to have consequences. My parents weren't rich. They made it work. My mom had tough pregnancies, in and out of the hospital. Using today's logic, she should have terminated me. Why are we so special that we deserve life and these aborted babies do not?

It's really sad and sickening. I hope you reconsider. No one is saying you need to go out and protest, but at the very least do not consent to this great evil. I'm glad you're now asking the tough questions.

No problem. For clarity, it's not 100% that the women are evil. Often they're decent naive women whom were tricked into believing that this is somehow empowerment or health care yada yada, only to realize afterward how soul crushing it is. In a way, the abortion industry is predatory and victimizing these women for profit. The act itself is pure evil so no confusion there.

Sorry to hear about not being able to have a kid for yourself. Take heart knowing that though you cant have your own, you can protect others by not going along with the lie.

Pro choice is just a positive spin on ending a life. Either you don't think you can take care of it or you just just don't want to. Unwanted, so aborted.

Truth is not always an easy pill swallow.

JohnyBlaze99 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Young people aren't taught self accountability anymore, and they grow up into adults that don't know how to take responsibility.

Koatashi 0 points ago +1 / -1

Don't know how or don't want to?

And being able to get by with not wanting to.

I think in certain cases they are completely unprepared for adulthood and they make mistakes when they're 18 that follow them forever.

Ya poor people too. Seventh pregnancy, no father figure. Gets money from the government the more she has. The kids give her a sense of worth but she's forced to work full time. The kids start hanging out with joggers and popping out more jogger babies.
